Hermosa Beach Kitchen Remodel

Written by Lydia Solis | Mar 30 2012

This Hermosa Beach kitchen remodel was a bit of a challenge.  The space was configured as a galley kitchen (compact kitchen like one found on a ship). It was so tight in there that the owners called it a 2 butt kitchen because you could only have two people in the kitchen at the same time.

Rectangles make for good functional spaces. The home owner liked the richness of a grain cut timber. As a result I suggested a grain cut oak. She wanted a wood that had grainy look but elegant at the same time. The doors are a shaker style (flat square styles and rails), stained a nice rich color.

The jet black granite countertops give the kitchen a nice sleek look. The basket drawers that you see, hide an easy to clean plastic liner. The baskets are great for ripening avocados and fruit.

This kitchen remodel produced a space that is both functional and beautiful.

Let us design you a beautiful kitchen remodel.  A space that you and your family can enjoy for years to come.
