Kitchen Remodel Back Splash in South Bay, CA

Written by Alex Rodriguez | Feb 23 2012

Choosing the Perfect Back Splash

The backsplash is a section of material that is added on the wall behind sinks, counters and stoves. The most common material used on the back splash is tile. The purpose of the back splash is to provide an easy to clean surface for messes made while cooking. It also adds style, color, and character to a kitchen.

It does not matter how big or small your backsplash area is, as long as it is big enough to contain cooking splatters. For a smaller kitchen, you may want to extend the back splash past the sink and stove so that it continues around the kitchen. It will add a look of cohesiveness. For a larger kitchen, you may want to create a large focal point behind the sink or stove.

Remember that your backsplash should coordinate with the style of your kitchen.
