Kitchen Cabinet Hardware: Storage

Written by Lydia Solis | Jul 25 2012

Assessing your kitchen for the right storage solutions will make your life much easier.

  • More counter space for cooking.
  • Easier access to spices and pantry products.
  • A more clean, efficient and inviting space.

1. Roll out Storage

Roll out storage is put into deep cabinets for easier access. You’ll be able to see all the contents of the cabinet or pantry and they are easier to reach. This option is also good for your cleaning products on the sink.

2. Pot Racks

Pots are basically one of the hardest things to organize because there are so many sizes and lid that get lost all the time. Consider a ceiling pot rack for your pots. It gives more space in the drawers and you’ll know where they are at. As for the lids you’ll be able to organize them a lot easier in drawers.

Be sure to measure the space in your kitchen for properly fit a pot rack that won’t over take it.

3. Spice Racks

Any spice rack is fine. But my favorite is the spice tray. They are laid out on a tier so that each spice is clear visible and you won’t miss what you need.

You will be able to see each spice jar at a glance rather than removing them all from the cabinet to find what you need.

4. Drawer Dividers

Organized drawers are not common in kitchens but they should be. This makes it easier to find the lids to your pots and pans, plates, silver wear, junk drawers, etc. There is not really a perfect way of explaining this one. It’s much better visually.
