The Parra family decided to hire Bay Cities Construction to remodel their 1920s built bathroom. Our designers conserved its classic styling with a new pedestal sink, new deep soaker tub, and new tiling throughout.
No major changes were made to the floorplan of this bathroom except for the reframing of the door, it was brought outward to match all other doorways in the hallway, The bathroom had previously suffered from water leaks that had damaged the subfloor and framing and dry rot had deteriorated the rest. After the demo was complete our team worked on making all necessary framing repairs in order to build the new bathroom. The first amenity the family wanted was a new, bigger, alcove soaker tub.
The tub was wrapped in a gorgeous "marble look" glossy porcelain tile with a large niche, paired with all-new Brizo (a Delta Faucet brand) chrome tub filler, diverter, shower wand, and large multifunction showerhead. We also installed a new TOTO two-piece toilet. The centerpiece of this remodel is a beautiful Pedestal Sink (Bogart Basin) from Devon & Devon. The same porcelain tile used on the shower wall was used on the floor.
