About Bay Cities Construction

General contractors don’t have the best reputation. In fact, they’re amongst the top three of things that people do not like to deal with. Our mission is to change that. We want our clients to have the smoothest and most comfortable experience during their project.

At Bay Cities Construction (BCC), we are dedicated to providing our clients with the best experience possible. Our office is based in Torrance, and have spent more than two decades working on homes across the South Bay and the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and most of that work falls into a few clear categories (but not limited to): balcony repair and waterproofing, seismic and foundation work, and full-scope kitchen, bathroom, and addition remodels.

We work with homeowners directly and with HOAs and property managers on multi-unit balcony scopes. Every project we take on is scoped end to end before we start, which is how we avoid the change orders that catch most homeowners off guard partway through a build. Our clients can visit current and past job sites to inspect workmanship and talk to past customers before they sign anything.

Home Additions and ADUs

Rancho Palos Verdes has strict architectural and view-preservation rules. Most additions require formal review before permits issue, and we coordinate that process end to end.

We handle:

  • Single-room additions and second-story additions

  • Detached and attached ADUs (accessory dwelling units)

  • Soils report and structural engineering coordination

  • City architectural review submittals and permit sets
