Your style may not be contemporary, but you may want to add a touch of modern to your kitchen. Most modern concepts can be overwhelming, but incorporating one or two techniques into your current kitchen will bring it up to date without losing its timeless appeal.
Remove Cabinet Doors
By removing some of the cabinet doors you can add a new modern feel to your kitchen. Most modern kitchen designs incorporate shelving instead of cabinets because it creates an open environment. If storage is your concern, instead of doing wall to wall shelving, simply remove a couple of cabinet doors.
Add Color
Color can really brighten up and bring a new life to your kitchen. Of course considering the color scheme of your cabinets and appliances, try choosing a bold and bright color. This color can be applied to any area, such as accessories or you could expand the color drastically by painting the walls or changing the countertop, creating a new focal point.
These tips are quick, easy, and typically are inexpensive.
