Property Maintenance: Saving Big Bucks on Home Repairs

Posted by Lydia Solis

The exterior of a house receives the most abuse. Abuse from elements and little critters. Knowing what to look for can save you thousands on home improvement costs. Look for chipped wood! Wood that shows chipping must be painted ASAP. It is much cheaper to paint the wood than to have to pay someone to replace the board. The north side of a house always gets the most sun. So the paint is more likely to fade and bake off. Look out for garden sprinklers! They take their toll on metal and wood fences. Ask your gardener to aim the sprinklers away from the fence. Water from sprinklers can cause you to spend thousands of dollars in water damage to your fencing. By making these small repairs, it will save you big bucks in repair costs! If you have any questions, please don't be shy to ask. We are more than happy to help you with your home repair needs.
