Hoover Residence: Bath Remodel in Hollyglen, CA

Bay Cities Construction renovated this water-damaged bathroom. 

The Hoover family selected Bay Cities Construction to help them rebuild their water-damaged bathrooms in their home in the Hollyglen neighborhood of Hawthorne, CA.

After being away for a week, the family came home to a burst pipe and a waterlogged bathroom. Once the bathroom was remediated our Interior Designers began by helping the homeowner make all her material selections for the new bathroom.  

The footprint in this medium-sized bathroom was kept the same - this helps owners make selections easier and it also speeds up the permit process for a "like for like" bathroom remodel. One of the priorities for this design was to keep a tub for the grandkids to bathe in, so we suggested a "deep soaker" soaking tub from HydroSystems that is taller and can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. The shower bath features to recessed niches for extra storage, and is enclosed by a tub shield/glass door. The plumbing fixtures used in this bathroom include Hansgrohe valves, a wand, and a showerhead in brushed nickel. 

We also installed a new prefab side-by-side ("his and hers") vanity with two undermount sinks from Icera, and plenty of counter space for makeup and toiletries. This large vanity also includes drawers for extra storage.
