McNair Residence: Two Bath Remodel in Torrance, CA

Bay Cities Construction renovated two bathrooms in this newly purchased home. 

The McNair family selected Bay Cities Construction to help them design & build two bathrooms in their recently purchased home in the Southwood neighborhood of Torrance, CA.

We first started by working on the larger bathroom that will be used by the kids. The family wanted a contemporary, stylish bathroom with hardy materials that can withstand daily abuse. The larger footprint allowed for a double vanity in a "his and hers" configuration and even a linen closet.

We were asked to preserve the existing cast-iron shower tub, so we paired it with a large tile on the wall, along with gold (brushed bronze) shower valve, tub filler, and shower head from hansgrohe. These fixtures are great quality and should withstand daily wear from the kids.

The second bathroom is located in the master suite - although smaller, we wanted to give this bathroom some elegant touches. The master bathroom features a walk-in shower with floor-to-ceiling "marble look" tile, and a small built-in corner bench. This bathroom also features the same line of plumbing hardware from hansgrohe, gold (brushed bronze) faucet, shower valve, and shower head. To top it all off, this bathroom features a two-piece TOTO toilet, paired with a TOTO Washlet Bidet seat for ultimate comfort when nature calls. 

Bay Cities Construction provided Interior Design services, City Submittal & Permit services, and Construction/Renovation Services.
