Large 4,000 sq. ft. Full home remodel in Torrance, CA.

This large two-story home in Torrance, California underwent a complete renovation after years of water damage left it uninhabitable. The 4,000 sq. ft. property included an attached rental unit, three bedrooms, three en-suite bathrooms, a family room, a living room, a dining room, and a spacious kitchen.

The homeowner—living out of state, chose Bay Cities Construction to manage, design, and execute the full remodel from start to finish (our specialty!). Our team handled everything from architectural plans and permitting to interior design and construction.

Because the owner planned to sell the property, we focused on value-add upgrades that would increase resale appeal and attract multiple offers.

Scope of Work

1. Permitting & Planning

We drafted and submitted renovation plans to the City of Torrance for approval, securing all necessary permits before construction began.

2. Kitchen & Downstairs Remodel

Complete kitchen redesign with contemporary white cabinetry and a new center island for better flow.
Calacatta Vintage quartz countertops by MSI.
Rev-A-Shelf pull-outs for modern functionality.
SPC flooring in “New Mexico” color throughout the main level.
Rebuilt laundry room and en-suite bath.
Restored balcony above the living space, fully reframed and waterproofed after extensive damage.

3. Upstairs Remodel

Main suite with deep soaker tub, large walk-in shower, and Daltile Artsy tile with Schluter chrome trim.
Side-by-side vanity and Hansgrohe fixtures in all baths for a cohesive contemporary look.

4. Exterior Upgrades
