Los Angeles Home Remodel: The Importance of Paint

Posted by Bryan Echeverria

(House painter working on fascia and trim)

One of the quickest and inexpensive ways of remodeling your house is by adding a fresh coat of paint. Paint on the outside of the home is just as important as it is on the inside, so you want to select colors that match well with each other. Transforming your house into a home is a matter of putting your personal touches into every space.

The Secret to our Sucess

Posted by Alex Rodriguez

I was at the tile shop last week placing my third and largest order in February. One of the young salesmen at the counter looked at the invoice, smiled, shook his head and asked “what is your secret?” Without flinching, I responded “Taking care of your clients” He replied with “That’s it?” “Yes it is as simple as that” I said. In retrospect, I realized that I should have shared more details (I think it’s important to share wisdom with those who seek it). I should have explained that our business paradigm is customer centric. Our daily decisions are based on the best interest of our clientele. This is not a new concept. Many companies claim to run their business under this model.

I don’t sell. I provide value for my clients. It is value in both thought and action that attract new customers and keep existing clients coming back year after year. When my clients want to remodel or repair a portion of their house, they need someone with integrity who can competently remedy their problem. Our behavior as an organization has to reflect those components.
Truth in practice, a client centric business model is very challenging. The challenges are 2 fold. Employees of business must be trained in order for them to understand the needs of our clients and the importance of meeting those needs. I do not hire robots. My employees have the freedom to make decisions on how to best carry out their tasks. It is up to them to deliver a quality job.
Managing my clientele and their expectations is the next critical component. I make it a key point to establish a solid channel of communication. I make it easy for our clients to communicate their concerns. I Listen! Listening is a very important part of this business. It is important to understand what the client’s needs and wants are. Delivery is what I do best; Integrity, professionalism and dedication in craftsmanship to produce good quality projects and happy clients.

Torrance, CA Bathroom Remodel: An American Story

Posted by Alex Rodriguez

This bathroom represents the story of America. We are bombarded with marketing material on a daily basis from all sorts of entities trying to sell us their crap. I find it difficult to sift through the soup of media to find the real deal. What do I mean by this? I want to create true, pure beauty. But beauty is the fickle friend of an artist. Beauty only reveals itself to a person which has passion for what they do! My friends, I do not build bathrooms or repair dilapidated homes. My goal in this business is to transform my clients’ vision into a tangible reality, something that will stand the test of time. We may not all be able to afford to build our own Hearst Castle, but we can certainly create a thing of beauty. Beauty that we are able to share with our family and friends.

Kitchen Remodeling Los Angeles: Open Kitchen Floor Plan

Posted by Alex Rodriguez

Is your home suffering from a 2 butt kitchen? Well you are not alone. Many homes built in the South Bay in the 1950’s are rocking these small non-functional kitchens.  The good news is that there is hope! Installing PSL beams across the rooms eliminates the need for support walls and allows an open floor plan. PSL beams are manufacture pieces of plywood and they are engineered to carry massive weight. When we attach the ceiling framing to these beams…well voilà you have new open spaces and you can fit a few more butts in that "former 2 butt kitchen" (take note some butts are bigger than others… lol)! This project was a good example of a cool beach house, kitchen remodel in Playa Del Rey, CA. It was a tiny space that sported an apartment size stove.

Hermosa Beach Kitchen Remodel

Posted by Lydia Solis

This Hermosa Beach kitchen remodel was a bit of a challenge.  The space was configured as a galley kitchen (compact kitchen like one found on a ship). It was so tight in there that the owners called it a 2 butt kitchen because you could only have two people in the kitchen at the same time.

Rectangles make for good functional spaces. The home owner liked the richness of a grain cut timber.
